81 Años

Mami:

Hoy estarías cumpliendo 81 años de edad. No te olvido jamás a pesar de que son ya casi 19 años que partiste.

No me imagino cómo te hubiera celebrado hoy. Sólo sé que la vida no me dió tiempo de celebrar tus cumpleaños como te mereciste.

Te sigo extrañando mucho.

I stumbled across this article by R.C. Sproul, Jr. on the Ligonier Ministries blog. Very ad hoc for this moment in my life when I have found a new place to worship and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Language

I guess it will all depend on how I feel and/or what I need to express... I may revert from English to Spanish or vice versa. 

Some things are better said in Spanish. 

It's the beauty of knowing and understanding more than one language. One can navigate through the lexicon of idioms to locate the most accurate words or phrases to accommodate what is needed to convey.

ZCL 2 ELP... Does anyone care?

Really. Does anyone really care what I write about on this place? I guess I just need to put my thoughts out there as a matter of keeping tabs on what my life has come to so far. 

ZCL is the airport code for the place I was born. ELP is the airport code for where I currently reside. Not much science about it. Just two dots on the map that have had great influence on how I think and behave.

I long to go back to ZCL. Unfortunately I can't just pack some clothes and head out there. Very complicated. Two of my daughters have health conditions that forbid me from ranging too far out from the U.S. of A. So we have to stick to vacationing inside the borders of this country.

Don't get me wrong, we've visited some lovely places and cities in the U.S.A., yet still my heart desires for my feet to step on those cobblestone streets once again.
